LA Best Babies Network and the Consortium partnered with Peace of Violence for the Domestic Violence Training Series to provide home visiting staff with an overview of domestic violence red flags to be aware of as they serve their clients, as well as education on the impact of domestic violence on children, and legal considerations when working with immigrants who may be experiencing domestic violence. Training attendees will also learn about county-wide domestic violence resources.  

Domestic Violence Training Series (DV and Impacts on Children) learning objectives include:

• Understanding the nexus between domestic violence and child maltreatment 

• Being able to identify signs or behaviors that may result from a child witnessing violence in the home 

• Understanding the impact of domestic violence on child development 

• Learning how to support families impacted by domestic violence
